The Department is comprised entirely of volunteer members including active firefighters, junior firefighters and associate members. Our mission is to protect and serve the approximately 10,000 residents that reside in Chatham Township and assist surrounding communities. Our Volunteer Firefighters are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and answer 400 calls for service annually. The department operates its headquarters on River Road and a second station on Southern Boulevard.
