The Chatham Township Volunteer Fire Department is hosting National Night Out Against Crime on Tuesday, Aug. 4, from 6-9 p.m. at Chatham Township Volunteer Fire Department, 495 River Road.
Since 1984, this national event is meant to increase awareness about our police, other local community programs, such as drug prevention, neighborhood watch and other anti-crime efforts.
Come join us for this truly fun community event that is guaranteed fun for all.
Chatham Township Volunteer Fire Department members will supply music, grills and soda. So bring your favorite items to grill. But don’t worry if you don’t have the time to put anything together. Come down anyway. There is always plenty of food.
As always there will be a special guest appearance from McGruff, the Crime Dog. Don’t forget those camera’s as you will want to capture those smiles of the kids of all ages, exploring the firehouse, checking out the fire trucks and of course trying on the fire fighters gear that is used to protect themselves when they respond to our communities calls.
