Firefighters
- Men and women over 18 years of age
- All training and equipment is provided
- No minimum time requirements; help out as your schedule permits.
Associate Members
Firefighting doesn’t have to involve fighting fires. Become an Associate Member and assist with:
- Fundraising
- Event Planning
- Marketing
- Public Relations
Junior Members
The Chatham Township Volunteer Fire Department’s Junior Firefighter program is open to young men and women ages 16 and 17 years old who are interested in serving their community in a unique way. The program allows for high school students to explore the exciting job of a Firefighter, while learning life lessons such as respect, teamwork, and accountability. As a junior member, you will be able to respond to emergencies, attend our drills, and can attend the fire academy and get certified as a fire fighter at no cost to you.
Requirements: Attend weekly Wednesday night drills at 6:30 and respond to calls whenever you can do so. Don’t worry, you don’t go into dangerous situations until you go through the academy and turn 18 yrs old. You are completely safe and supervised every step of the way.
